20 Years in Norway For twenty years, I have had the joy of living a Norwegian life. Twenty years of training in martial arts, strength, and volleyball. Twenty years of traveling the world. Twenty years of freedom to go to school, earn an education, and build a career in leadership. Twenty years of dressing as I choose, showing my face to the world, and owning my identity. Twenty years with the right to speak my mind and raise my voice.
20 Years Without Afghanistan For twenty years, I have missed Afghanistan. Twenty years without that sun, that family, those friends. Twenty years without the tropical fruits, the culture, and the traditions. Twenty years of only seeing my homeland through a television screen. Twenty years of constant war, imprisonment, and violence against women. Twenty years of the burqa, hidden faces, and erased identities. Twenty years without rights, and without a voice.
