The Ever-Immigrant Generation explores the lives of Afghans born in exile, children who grow up in countries they can never fully belong to, and yet have never seen their ancestral homeland. Through the portrait of Mahnaz, a 20-year-old Afghan girl born in Iran, the project reflects on identity, estrangement, and resilience. It is not a single biography, but a collective story of a generation marked by displacement, living between borders no one sees.
